WEDDING ANNOUNCEMENT: Compton/Jorasch

Saturday, April 15, 2006 James Jorasch and Victoria Compton were wed at Our Lady of Good Voyage Chapel at Roche Harbor. The ceremony was conducted by their friend Claudia LaCava Macdonald. Immediate family in attendance included the bride's mother, Karen Compton; her sister and maid of honor, Elisabeth Compton; the groom’s mother and stepfather Mel and Judy Malinowski; his brother and best man, Craig Jorasch and his family; his sister, Marta Kenehan and his grandmother, Lennice Anderson.

Friends and family from around the country and Friday Harbor attended the wedding. The bride has had a residence in Friday Harbor for years and she was the founder of At Home Magazine.

To the delight of everyone, the sun came out in the middle of the stormy afternoon. The guests and family enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and beverages at Roche’s Madrona Bar followed by a gourmet dinner in the Madrona Room. Everyone enjoyed dancing and listening to Steve Keys and his band. The couple will reside in New York City and continue to visit their island home.
