Shannon Michael Martz and Christine Mandybur were married on September 5th,
2004 in Chicago. A formal wedding and reception was held for 100 of their closest
family members and friends. The ceremony incorporated many traditional
elements of Christine's Ukrainian heritage. A more casual, island style
reception was held at the couple's home in Friday Harbor a few weeks later.
Michael is the grandson of the late Kenneth and Alice Martz who lived in the
pretty Victorian on Malcolm Street. You may have met Christine at the San
Juan Island Library where she works as the Technology Specialist.
