Curves annual food drive underway

Curves 30 Minute Fitness and Weight Loss Center in Friday Harbor will is participating in Curves International Inc. Curves Food Drive. The local drive benefits Friday Harbor Food Bank. Last year more than two tons of food was collected locally.
Non-perishable food items can be dropped off at Curves at 462 Caines Street Monday through Saturday during the month of March. The facility is open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Anyone joining Curves the week of March 7 will have their service fee waived if they bring a bag of groceries.
"The Curves Food Drive promotion allow us, the franchisers to help more women reach their fitness goals, while giving back to the community simultaneously," said Jennifer Forrey, owner of the Friday Harbor club.
Member of the local Curves club have lost 3,089 inches since the club opened in August 2003.

Curves, 30 Minute Fitness and Weight Loss Center, in Friday Harbor will be joining Curves
International Inc. "Food For Friends" food drive to benefit local food banks. Last year,the Curves food drive collected over 4,250,000 pounds of food for local communities across the nation.
Anyone joining Curves the week of March 8th may bring a bag of groceries and have the normal service fee waived. Anyone may drop off non-perishable food items at Curves Monday through Friday during business hours. Curves is located at 462 Caines Street in Friday Harbor.
With almost 7,000 locations, Curves is the world’s largest fitness franchise and the fastest growing franchise in history. Currently, Curves helps more than two million women realize their fitness and weight loss goals every day.
Curves opens August 25

Curves, an exercise club for women of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels, opens this month in Friday Harbor. To celebrate, the club will host a special grand opening on August 25 in its newly renovated building at the corner of Caines and Spring Streets.
Helping say goodbye to unhealthy lifestyles, unattainable diet resolutions and unreasonable fitness regimes gives women a new outlook on exercise and feeding their body properly, said Rebecca Barnard, Curves Friday Harbor's new manager. It's only thirty minutes, three days a week, and includes a total personalized approach to meeting a woman's personal health goals.
For a monthly fee as low as $29, the flexible 30-minute three-times-a-week Curves workout combines fun and simple strength and cardiovascular training with state of the art equipment that anyone can operate.
"This is a great opportunity for women to support one another in a fun non-threatening environment. It's a happy way to exercise without the concerns of impressing anyone," said Barnard.
