The Perseids
Once again we come to mid-August and the Perseid meteor showers. Go out
and see them! You need to look to the northwest sky but even if you
don’t know which way northwest is, you can’t miss these beauties!
Maximum activity for the Perseids is this week. Combined with Mars being
so close, this is a celestial event not to be missed.
Aries (March 21 - April 20):
The full moon this week should bring you
some inspiration or perhaps a dream of a solution to a problem. As we
swing into the time of the big meteor shower show, look up at the night
sky and feel a sense of splendor. You love things that glitter! Be
careful with your cash, since Saturn has its eye on your bank account
and won’t put up with any monkey business on your part!
Taurus (April 21 - May 20):
This week’s full moon in Aquarius holds
several keys to your personal kingdom. During the next two weeks, you’re
likely to come up with an improbable but workable situation regarding
your work or career. If you’re looking for work, now is the time to
really get aggressive! Even though it’s late in the season,
self-employment may also be a possibility, if you have the discipline to
carry things through.
Gemini (May 21 - June 20):
The Aquarius full moon is going to have one
of two effects on you; you’ll get a rush of a brainstorm and go
barreling off in a different but potentially profitable direction or
you’ll close your mind to anything different. Either way, it’s your own
call. You know what you need and you are perfectly capable of making it
happen. Stick to it!
Cancer (June 21 - July 22):
You’re getting some pretty fun ideas now,
along the lines of combining your talents with another person. If this
is the case, keep it airy and fun but also be serious about commitment.
One person can’t carry too much of the burden or the whole thing goes
off balance. Balance is the key now; work and dream, rest and play,
socialize and have alone time. Strike the balance so you can be at your
best.
Leo (July 23 - August 22):
Lay your plans well, Leo, because mighty,
benevolent Jupiter will be moving into your solar house of finances at
the end of the month. This means that with diligence and nurturing of
your talents and assets, you can reinvent yourself financially! You
can’t stand to be without money and you like to be comfortable. If
you’re unemployed, don’t be discouraged. From September on things are
looking up on that front. Hang tight!
Virgo (August 23 - September 22):
Don’t be tempted to split hairs over a
minor detail. It will only aggravate things and make you tired. At the
end of this month you have a wonderful opportunity to take advantage of
benevolent, lucky Jupiter moving into your sign, where it will remain
for a full year. If this year has been painful for you, buck up! Your
time to shine is right around the corner. Prepare now!
Libra (September 23 - October 22):
The full moon in airy Aquarius shines
right into your heart of hearts. Where you’ve been hanging on, you’ll be
able to detach. Where you’ve been missing the point, you’ll get it. This
is very good, Libra! New opportunities for expansion are yours but you
have to reach for them, even possibly compete. Perk up and see what
you’re really made of; you’ll be happy with the results.
Scorpio (October 23 - November 22):
This week’s full moon in your sector
of home and hearth brightens a corner for you that has been dark. You
may get a great idea about that room that’s been a problem or you may go
for the whole nine yards and do a remodel. As this month closes, Jupiter
relaxes into a very nice position for your sign, and you’ll see the
results almost immediately. Gee, maybe you’ll even crack a smile!
Sagittarius (November 23 - December 20):
The full moon in inventive
Aquarius this week has you smiling; emotional battle scars have the
chance to heal and you have some new ideas about getting along in the
world with some amount of tact (that’s always an issue with you)! You
are a natural diplomat unless your wrath is roused; when that happens
you take no prisoners! But let’s not go there, Archer. No reason to be
shooting folks full of arrows now...Jupiter, your Ruler, will be moving
into earthy Virgo at month’s end, and you’ll be gaining ground.
Capricorn (December 21 - January 19):
Okay, little Goat Who Could, step
up to the plate! No more procrastinating and being indecisive. Yes, you
can be this way and in some areas you have been. No use blaming others
if you’ve been negligent or scattered...it’s time for you to get your
ducks in a row. Why? Because Jupiter moves into a very sweet position
with your sign at month’s end and will remain there for a whole year!
This effect will crack the ice and get things moving. Be happy!
Aquarius (January 20 - February 19):
This is your month! The full moon
this week is in your own sign, and that is always a boost. Since it only
comes once a year, celebrate yourself in some little way. Loosen up some
of the control issues and observe what happens. Believe it or not, the
sun will rise tomorrow even if you’re not in control of everything!
Laugh with gusto, spend time with people who make you feel good, and get
some good alone time too so you can fully enjoy those very same people!
Pisces (February 20-March 20)
Hey Pisces! Are you hiding under a
little submerged rock? Aw, don’t do that, we miss your dreams and sense
of poetry in motion! Don’t be a victim of yourself and your own
thinking. These are times of change and change you must, if you are to
grow. A mode of expression for you has outlived its usefulness and is
drying up, so it’s time to strike some new ground and really be who you
are. You don’t have to save the world. Save yourself and you’ll be so
much happier!
