The Eleventh House

The Eleventh House is a vibrant house, where everything we are gets to
shine through us rather than from us. This House represents the actual
manifestation of our creative forces that are rooted in the fifth House
(opposite the 11th).
Many astrologers (including myself) label this House in a convenient
way, the House of "Hopes and Wishes." But it is much more than that.
This House reveals how we use our success or failure as well as our
attitude toward it. It also reveals the types of people we will share
these things with, therefore being the House of Friendship as well.
The 11th House is ruled by Aquarius and therefore Uranus. It is,
therefore, the House of Humanitarianism. The sign on the cusp of the
11th House will reveal how we use the creative process that we have
become, and the type of people that will best receive what we have to
give. Very often, a person will marry or partner with a person of the
same sign as the 11th House cusp in their chart.
We attract what we are, the this House is where it shows up. If we are
magnanimous and wise, the people in our lives greatly benefit from these
qualities. An Air sign 11th House cusp will likely find an individual
who benefits society through mental processes. A Fire sign 11th House
will be a person who benefits society via action. An Earth sign 11th
House will yield the fruits of labor and practical thinking. The Water
sign will use their intuition and emotional empathy.
As with all things, there are two sides. An embittered person will seek
others with whom to share these attitudes. Those with unhealthy habits
or social dysfunction will see their downfall in the 11th House as
society reacts to such behaviors.
This is a very powerful House and should not be underestimated.
Aries (March 21 - April 20):
On Tuesday Venus sails into your sign! This
gives you a real heads-up along with a firm sense of resolve. Several
key planets support new ideas, expansion and a change of your status for
the better IF you have laid the groundwork well. I say IF because stern
Saturn occupies watery Cancer and is in conflict with your sign. This
trend will be there for over a year and demands that you be very real
and honest with yourself. You’ll get there!
Taurus (April 21 - May 20):
You do have your times of being flexible,
and this is one of them. You are able to rise to the occasion and move
forward in your tasks, whether you like them or not. This is a real nose
to the grindstone time, but there is a lot to look forward to for you
this year. We’re finished with the agonizing time of Uranus being in
Aquarius (a 7 year trend) and are now moving to more flexible times.
Yes, the fallout is still there but now you are able to tie up the loose
ends.
Gemini (May 21 - June 20):
Sultry Venus sails into fiery Aries this
week, and this could contribute to a temper tantrum on your part. Try to
hold it and use that energy in more constructive ways. If you’re “nerved
out,” get some relaxation tapes and listen to them daily. Now look, you
are often full of good intentions, but now you need to take action to
take better care of yourself! There is a lot going on in your life and
it is all looking very good, but it is also a stress factor. Focus on
the good things, let the difficult things work themselves out, and pay
attention!
Cancer (June 21 - July 22):
Agh! There is a lot going on and very little
of it is in your element to deal with! Try not to take things on
emotionally that are not yours. Remember, Saturn occupies your sign for
over a year now, and this may see you feeling constricted. You’ll get
used to it, that’s what it’s for. Use your time wisely, don’t invest
your emotions into things that aren’t worthy of them. Spring is right
around the corner and so is the warmth that comes with it. Take walks as
often as you can, watch your thoughts, and breathe!
Leo (July 23 - August 22):
This week sees you moving into a very good
frame of mind! You have some key planets on your side now, propelling
you into some very good insights and heightening your sense of well
being. Use the rest of this month to find what you are looking for, be
it love, work, or a new home. You’ll enjoy the extra energy that comes
to you! Last week’s Full Moon gave you a clue, now see it through to its
finish.
Virgo (August 23 - September 22):
What a time! If you’ve been neglecting
your tasks, you are so busted! Now you can look and see what you really
want, not what you think you should want. Get rid of those "shoulds!" To
coin a phrase from the old Star Wars Yoda character, "Do or do not do,
there is no try." Being a sign that is usually organized for everyone
but yourself, start practicing the art of self pampering. You deserve to
be treated well, so start with yourself, my friend.
Libra (September 23 - October 22):
Now we move into a time of an
extremes...you either have too much going on or nothing at all. So we
see the flat spot of the year....stoke your inner fires for what is to
come! Lay the groundwork well, because you have lots of planetary
support to do that. Focus on your strengths, be honest about your
weaknesses, and balance both. You can only balance yourself,
Libra....get to work! Mars in Taurus is helping you get the energy to
ground your ideas into reality. Make the most of it!
Scorpio (October 23 - November 22):
There could be a lot of antagonism
flying around you, and it may seem like you are at the hub of the wheel!
Well, others do rely on you to hold it together, but geez....take a
break! Consider the ages of the people involved and how much
responsibility they should have. Try to distance yourself from the
expectations of others and help them get real about what is theirs to
deal with. If it’s you who is the antagonist, though...well...you know
what needs to be done.
Sagittarius (November 23 - December 20):
Holy cow, if you could take all
of your attention and turn it into money, you’d rival Bill Gates!
Granted, where we live isn’t conducive to getting wealthy, but with the
latest technological advantages, you have an edge. Push the edges. Poke
and prod and find out what’s happening....then make something else
happen! You’re good at turning the tide and this is the time to do it!
Just don’t insult anyone along the way!
Capricorn (December 21 - January 19):
Mars in your fellow Earth sign of
Taurus is giving you a big advantage as far as progress goes. Combined
with expansive Jupiter in Virgo, you are in good shape! These factors
are overriding Saturn’s influence in your seventh Sector of
relationships. It seems you’re clipping along working things out, and
this is great! If you are embarking on a voyage of learning, this is
good! Travel is well aspected for you as well. Go and look at different
things, different minds, and there are your solutions!
Aquarius (January 20 - February 19):
Wow, something is lighting your
rocket! Being the innovative one, you are hot on the trail of something
and it is looking very, very good. Keep it up! Even if in the short term
it is scary, the long term is looking great. Don’t blow your circuits
doing more than you can physically or mentally do, and listen to the
suggestions of others. If your focus is too strong, you may miss some
really good advice and make things harder than they have to be. But go,
go out and get what’s yours!
Pisces (February 20-March 20): You are trying so hard to stay into
"feeling," but others around you are into "doing." You need to join
them. Venus in your second sector of money will help you...at the
moment, the planets are poised to support you in new endeavors. Be real,
look at your resources, plan and lay the groundwork. No matter your age,
if you are still alive, you’re not done yet! Time to be proactive!
