The New Moon in Taurus joins Venus (who rules Taurus) as we open the week. This will set the pace for being conservative with money and resources and encourage us to go for the best while maintaining what we have. It could also spur us into some luxuries not previously enjoyed before. In any case, May looks to be a very nice month!
One caution about this month, though…Mercury goes retrograde on May 26th, and you know the drill. Refrain from signing or starting anything during the three-week retrograde period. Mercury will go direct on the 19th of June. Beginning something new during a retrograde Mercury will usually yield poor results in a period of about two years.
Stay calm and drink deeply from life!
Aries (March 21 - April 20):
There will be significant changes this month as the New Moon on Monday conjoins with Venus in your sector of finances, eclipsing your doubts about yourself and your abilities. If a door closes, another will open and you will be in better shape, even if initially it looks scary. Don’t try to throw your weight around now; see how the cards fall.
Taurus (April 21 - May 20):
The New Moon in your sign conjoins with your Ruler Venus, setting you up for a powerful month as you step forward and gain new ground. Mercury in your sector of money gives you the impetus to think on your feet, and this month is set for you to succeed. Get things signed soon; Mercury goes retrograde later this month!
Gemini (May 21 - June 20):
Your Ruler Mercury is in your sign now and you are sharp as a tack. Don’t get too cocky though; Mercury will be retrograde later this month and if you haven’t been thorough it could all boomerang back on you. You may have to face some music from your past, so don’t sweep it under the rug. Just put on your Big Kid Pants and move forward.
Cancer (June 21 - July 22):
Mercury is sailing through your sector of Endings, and it looks like you are moving away from something that has been familiar and comfortable. You hate to move! Your closest friends figure prominently now, so heed their advice and move ahead using their insights. This is a very active time for you. Fiery Mars moves into your sector of money now, so you will have the necessary fuel to get from here to there.
Leo (July 23 - August 22):
Saturn has come out of retrograde in your sector of money…it appears you may be changing jobs or coming into some kind of restructuring financially. The great news is, passionate Mars moves into your sign on Saturday, giving you an extra boost of good cheer that will last all the way through June, so make tracks now!
Virgo (August 23 - September 22):
Now some shifting and changing happens; Venus is firmly ensconced in your companionable Earth sign Taurus, and she is mighty happy there. You should be feeling the benefits of that, as well as an energetic boost from Mars who will be moving into your sector of Endings/New Beginnings. Saturn in your sign will help you make expedient decisions.
Libra (September 23 - October 22):The New Moon in your sector of intimacy/shared assets brings about a different way of seeing things; Venus is there as well, shining on you like a lamp in the fog. Where you may feel like the edges are sharp, they are being softened by these influences and helping you balance. All in all, May is shaping up nicely for you!
Scorpio (October 23 - November 22):
The New Moon in your opposite sign of Taurus brings you a sense of change in your relationships with other people. Things that were previously hidden will come to light now, and the answers you’ve been looking for are being revealed. Venus shining in that same sector gives you confidence and a source of strength as well. The action really flies in your sector of your career and/or travel…Mars sails into your 10th solar House on Saturday; fasten your seat belt!
Sagittarius (November 23 - December 20):
Mars flies into your sector of travel/expansion on Saturday so get ready to roll. The adventure bug has bit you and you are ready to pull out all stops and grab the bull by the horns. With Venus shining in your sector of work/health, you are likely engaged in work you really love, or you are very close to it! Stay focused on the goal.
Capricorn (December 21 - January 19):
The New Moon in your sector of creative expression joins Venus, who is already shining there. A real shot of self-worth comes through and you are able to understand how interconnected you are with all that is around you. You prefer to stand alone often, but now you are forming a compatible team and new ideas for the next level.
Aquarius (January 20 - February 19):
The New Moon in your sector of home and hearth has you busy with family affairs and a sense of change in your family role. Venus occupies that same sector, and the focus for you now is to know when one role ends and another begins (or not). You don’t like to be entangled in other people’s stuff, so this is a good time to step off the merry-go-round.
Pisces (February 20-March 20):
Focus, focus, focus! Don’t get distracted by the magic…jump right into it! These are highly magical times, and the New Moon joining Venus in your sector of learning, communication and short trips will probably see your appointment book full! May promises to be a very active month for you so pace yourself, put on that winning smile, and try to look like you know what’s going on!
