Facing A Different Reality

Things are changing rapidly, no doubt. But what is not immediately obvious is that what we face in the world isn’t a brand new situation. It’s been in place for years but nobody was paying attention. The media wasn’t, we weren’t, nobody but the players were paying any attention. So now we have a big fat Reality Check going on, like it or not.
In looking at the human condition, we can see so very much psychological gaming going on, running the gamut from abject denial to panic and everything in between. How we deal with situations that are not under our direct control is the true test of character. This is as individual as we are.
As we hurtle on toward a situation of war and conflict with heavy hearts, it can be difficult to recognize that the sudden dislike of Americans isn’t so sudden. What is different is that long-standing grudges are now being voiced with complete honesty. What others think of us shouldn’t be so very shocking; look how judgmental we are!
The silt has been disturbed and now the waters of the psyche are clouded with the normally sedentary dirt of misunderstanding, prejudice, fear, greed and just about everything else we’d really rather think we don’t have within us. Yet every one of us has the seed of both wisdom and ignorance, good and evil, peace and violence.
The nature of our planet is tension. What would be very worthy of our consideration is shifting our focus from consuming so very much and have a look at what is consuming us. On any level.
Aries (March 21 - April 20):
New beginnings are the mode of the day, and you’re likely to be engaged in some serious reshuffling. You get rid of stuff in order to make room for new stuff. Being a lover of the glitz and glamor and things that sparkle, be sure that you are worthy of wearing the gold. You don’t want to be accused of bragging, do you?
Taurus (April 21 - May 20):
Your Solar House of friendships, hopes and wishes is lit up like a Christmas tree! Beware, though. This House is also the House of Hidden Enemies. As always, the hidden enemy is within yourself. Pay attention, Little Bull. You’ll know who is on your side and who has their own agenda.
Gemini (May 21 - June 20):
With your Ruler (Mercury) occupying indecisive Pisces, you’re going to react in either of two ways: You’ll move forward with full awareness of both the pro’s and the con’s, or you’ll not move at all due to conflicting ideas or circumstance. Either way, this is a month of pressure for you, which can be good because it makes you decide and be more accountable. Have lots of social activity, you always like a good party!
Cancer (June 21 - July 22):
You may be looking to further your education now, and further it you will! Influences have you looking further afield in search of information that is important to you. With Mars in your opposite sign of Capricorn, you are very much wanting to rule the roost at home. If you are able to clearly communicate and suppress a tirade or tantrum, you’ll get what you want. Oh, boy!
Leo (July 23 - August 22):
Looking to further that idea about business or finance? This is a good time to do it. It appears that you have at least one other person who is genuinely on your side, with your best interest in mind. If an opportunity is offered and it’s something you’ve been longing for, take it if its integrity is sound. You’ll be glad you did. Good surprises are in store for you!
Virgo (August 23 - September 22):
Okay so let’s take another view of all this Pisces stuff. Virgo, you must get a grip on yourself in relation to the world. Don’t take things personally, especially now. With all the anxiety flying around, you don’t want to set yourself up as an easy target by offering an opinion if you’re not asked. Sometimes it’s best to be quiet and observe, and this is one of those times. You’ll learn a lot!
Libra (September 23 - October 22):
It’s not about "nice," it’s about honesty. You can be honest without being brutal, you know! You might be tempted to overly explain your position but you don’t need to go to all that trouble. Why don’t you have a tea party, pull out your best china and treat yourself to good friends and gentle conversation? Focus on at least one beautiful thing a day.
Scorpio (October 23 - November 22):
Follow the labyrinth of your deepest thoughts and you’ll uncover your true motives. Very often a hidden motive presents itself and is quickly denied by the mind (“I’m not like that!”). Well, quit denying. Awareness and attention will get you a lot further than cleverness and a stinging tongue. My, you are fearless. Except when it comes to yourself...it’s your mind, Scorpio. Use it well, don’t be mean to it.
Sagittarius (November 23 - December 20):
The only certain thing in the world is change, and although you’re a mutable (adaptable) sign, you also like certain things to last longer than a few months! Being a loyal sign, you get very hurt when others fail you, but you usually make a mistake only once. At the moment you are cleaning the closets (metaphorically) and throwing out the pretenses, in yourself and everyone around you. Wow. Hard work!
Capricorn (December 21 - January 19):
This is a truly introspective time for you, and you’re getting an excellent chance to look back and see what didn’t work. Instead of copping a negative attitude about it, why don’t you find an innovative way to make a few bucks? With Venus in your second Solar House of self-worth, you have an opportunity to engage in some unusual and inventive activities. Even if it’s not about money, if you’re enjoying it, do it!
Aquarius (January 20 - February 19):
Oh, yeah. It’s all about money. Being one who likes to have it on hand, you always seem to be able to fall back on a stash. Now listen, just because you’re supposed to be the consummate Humanitarian, don’t get stupid and give away your stuff to those who will just take it for granted! Your second Solar House of finance is all lit up, and if you truly follow your gut you’ll do fine.
Pisces (February 20-March 20)
Hi Pisces, how ya doing? This is your birthday time and with three planets in your own sign, you’re in the spotlight! This is a good time to figure out what kind of a fish you are. Once you figure that out, get a picture of one and hang it up where you can see it every day. Are you a puffer, a pirhana, a kissing fish or a Sunfish? Maybe you’re feeling like a mackerel. Whatever it is, celebrate it!
