HOROSCOPE

July 28 - August 3 , 2003

By Triana Èlan

Aries (March 21 - April 20):
With the Sun, Venus and Jupiter in friendly fiery Leo, how can you lose? Well, you could lose your patience, you could try to push the river...but you won’t, will you?! More shift and changes with the inner planets in August help you shore up your plans and start thinking in the long term rather than just right now. If you’ve been diligent, you’re in good shape. Don’t burn yourself out!

Taurus (April 21 - May 20):
Some delays come up due to three planets occupying Leo and forcing you to reconsider some things. These planets fall in your house of home and hearth, so you’re focusing on what grounds you and makes you feel homey and comfortable. Mercury moving into Virgo this week brings with it a more fluid communication and some breakthroughs for you. Options you hadn’t considered will be presented in the coming few weeks.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20):
Gemini, Mars being so close to the Earth (closer than it’s been for 60,000 years) and occupying Pisces isn’t exactly doing you any favors. You may find that you’re feeling awash with the rain on your parades, but know that this is temporary. Now don’t throw a tantrum, just understand that the mutable signs (You, Sagittarius, Pisces and Virgo) are all going through a state of flux. Loosen up your mind and quit trying to figure everything out.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22):
Mercury moves into earthy Virgo this week, leaving you some breathing space and helping you really see where you’re going. As the week progresses, Mercury blows kisses to Saturn which occupies your sign. This is good! What has felt stodgy and stuck is beginning to loosen up and you’re liking that! Spend some time in, on, or near water. It soothes your nerves and steadies you. You need your daily quiet time!

Leo (July 23 - August 22):
Venus sails into your sign this week, and you’re engaged in an incredible amount of self-analysis. Try not to be too selfish and distance people. As Jupiter prepares to leave your sign later in August, get things shorn up and buttoned down. This is a good time for new contracts or agreements. Keep the courage of your convictions and keep your integrity intact!

Virgo (August 23 - September 22):
You’re no doubt feeling pulled in all directions, Virgo, what with Mars being so physically close to Earth (closer than it’s been in 60,000 years) in your opposite sign of Pisces. Mars will remain in Pisces for an untypically long time; in its normal transition, Mars changes signs every five weeks or so. But this is a long stay; Mars will occupy Pisces through mid-December! You’re not out of the woods yet, but at least you know how long these effects will be around.

Libra (September 23 - October 22):
Mars is hanging out in your solar house of Health and Work for an unbelievable amount of time (through mid-December). This means you need to watch your health, and take care in the area of infections or inflammation. Watch that you don’t trip over things and hurt your feet, and also drink plenty of water since your sign rules the kidneys. Other than that, influences shift this month, bringing you a little closer to the ground and helping you pull in your focus.

Scorpio (October 23 - November 22):
Good grief, can it get any more intense?! You may be brooding about something that you really need to let go of. The energy of three planets in fixed Leo is shedding light on something you hadn’t seen before and you’re being forced to look back and ponder. This is fine, but if you’re harboring resentment it’s really best to let it go if the situation can’t be resolved. In another area, you may be entertaining a new plan and gaining ground there, which is good! Be sure people sign the dotted line, though, and walk their talk.

Sagittarius (November 23 - December 20):
Hey Archer, how many arrows can you let fly at once? These days it may seem like all the arrows you’re twanged are returning like boomerangs, disguised as something else! it’s pretty crazy right now! Well, you did sleep nearly all winter, and you’ve had some pretty hard knocks over the past couple of years. However, if you learned what you needed to learn and acted on it, the rewards should be showing up. Rest when you can!

Capricorn (December 21 - January 19):
Mercury is soon to come to the rescue, moving into earthy Virgo and soothing your jangled nerves. With so much going on it’s difficult for you to keep up with yourself and know which end is up! Hopefully you have someone who can assist you in your projects and obligations (you always have plenty of those!). Don’t try to make sense of what’s going on, that will only drive you crazy. Take your life day by day.

Aquarius (January 20 - February 19):
With three planets moving into your opposite sign of Leo now, you’re reassessing relationships and the role you play in the world. The Sun, Jupiter and now Venus occupy your house of relationships, so a goodly amount of focus is going there. If you’re attached, some reassessing is under way. If you’re single, you may find someone that suits you in the next couple of months. In any case, be sure you get the time alone you need to regroup! And don’t analyze everything!

Pisces (February 20-March 20)
Mars is hanging around in your sign for an incredibly long time! Usually Mars transits a sign in about five weeks, but due to a retrograde, Mars occupies your sign for an astonishing six months! Hopefully you’re not feeling like you’re all dressed up with nowhere to go! Your whole identity is under intense scrutiny now, and you may well be feeling self-absorbed and unbalanced. With Mars and Uranus both pulling on you, it’s an intense time. Lay aside the guilties and the broodies and move through it with courage.
