Feliz Cinco de Mayo!

April 30 – May 6, 2007

By Triana Èlan

Time to break out the grog and celebrate Cinco de Mayo, which is a minor thing here in Mexico but quite a big deal in the U.S. Cinco de Mayo is NOT the Mexican Independence day. That is in September. Cinco de Mayo is the commemoration of a skirmish with the French, and after having ousted Spain from Mexico, the Mexicans were in no mood to put up with more Europeans coming in to tell them how to live, thank you very much.

Still, it is a fun day north of the border, and a good excuse to celebrate another culture. Break out the Piñatas, have a carne asada, bring out the Latino music and have a ball!

Aries (March 21 - April 20):
The Full Moon on Wednesday kicks energy into your sector of money and shared assets; if you already have something in the works such as a new business or a joint venture with property, it looks very promising as long as you don’t try to cut corners. Although some things take a while, patience will pay off.

Taurus (April 21 - May 20):
Wednesday’s Full Moon brings light to your primary relationship as well as working to boost your morale. As the sun begins to shine longer and you are in your birthday time, your spirits are good and you deserve to have the fullness of what you have worked so hard to achieve!

Gemini (May 21 - June 20):
You may feel restrictive influences now as more is coming at you than you are able to fit into a day; the Full Moon on Wednesday brings with it some startling news, so if you have been skirting around any issues, be prepared to have to face them front and center in the coming weeks. You are a naturally lucky sign, but relying on luck alone won’t get you where you need to go next.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22):
Wednesday’s Full Moon throws your concentration into your creative side, where you have the chance to think on your feet and come up smelling like roses! Time with family is very important now, and you really have to dance to meet all the demands. Delegate if you can. That’s very difficult for you to do when it comes to matters of the heart, but do it anyway.

Leo (July 23 - August 22):
Wednesday’s Full Moon sheds light on matters in your domestic affairs that need to be addressed. This is a time when you are turning over a new leaf and wanting to move ahead with self-improvement, which is a good thing. Keep an eye out for things that have solidity to them, not just pie-in-the-sky. You have an amazing gift of discernment, so use it wisely.

Virgo (August 23 - September 22):
This is a demanding time for all the Mutable signs, so don’t feel alone. Your down to earth nature is a terrific asset now, and there is a lot of activity around you that can be distracting if you don’t have your priorities in order. Stick to your plan and only deviate from it to enhance the plan.

Libra (September 23 - October 22):
You sometimes tell people what they want to hear, and that’s not always a good idea. Wednesday’s Full Moon brings you closer to a financial gain that you’ve been working toward. The month of May brings some good leads, and you may have to leave your comfort zone in order to take advantage of the full opportunities. Don’t waffle. Be decisive.

Scorpio (October 23 - November 22):
Yes I know, you only got two lousy sentences last week. Well guess what, you’re the star of the show now because Wednesday’s Full Moon falls in your sign, your once-a-year occurrence. This month brings with it the opportunity to wind down in intensity and broaden your scope. You’ll like it. Even though this is your weaker time of year due to the Sun opposing your sign, you are strong in your pursuits and able to catch up where you left on regarding something of importance to you.

Sagittarius (November 23 - December 20):
The month of May brings you an entirely new set of circumstances that will be much more real than what you were aiming for before. You are gaining the self-discipline to call your own shots without getting distracted, and even though you are in demand socially, it is important that you pick and choose. Sometimes you are generous to a fault. Don’t give more than you can really spare, especially with your time.

Capricorn (December 21 - January 19):
People often accuse you of being negative, but you call it like you see it, which is more reliably than any other sign. No matter how high you go on the mountain, your feet are always firmly planted on the ground. Wednesday’s Full Moon in your sector of friendships and goals will bring with it much needed information that you have been waiting for. The coming weeks will see you smiling!

Aquarius (January 20 - February 19):
Due to your nature of liking to live the crazier side of life, you may be completely worn out. Wednesday’s Full Moon brings about work-related issues that will keep you busy. If you are a business owner, changing staff may be the hiccup in the works. Be sure that you have good communication skills and that you are understood in what you say. Don’t over-explain or your ideas will get lost in translation.

Pisces (February 20-March 20):
Oh, my, Wednesday’s Full Moon gives you a shot of rebellion and a roar to break free of the chains that bind. Keep your feet on the ground, and walk ahead with purpose. You may be called to travel in the next couple of weeks, and this is likely to be due to a family member needing your assistance.
