Happy Thanksgiving

For a second week in a row I find myself knowing what I want to write about, but not knowing what to actually write. I love Thanksgiving and I want to shout to the world about it, but what can I possibly write that hasn't been written before? I haven't ever written a Thanksgiving column for preciously this reason.

But sometimes we are reminded how important it is to appreciate life, and this has been one of those times for me. So what really feels appropriate, despite being [forgivably, *I hope*] unoriginal, is an expression of thanks right now.

From the library thanks are due to many, many people who never get thanked enough. Thanks to all who read this and even sometimes send comments. Thanks to the community for your generous support of the library in so many ways. Thanks to the army of volunteers that directly impact the library every day with their work and positive force. Thanks to the Board of Trustees for their important and often behind the scenes work. Thanks to the Friends of the Library for fundraising and allowing us to have so much fun with what we get to at the library. And thanks to the library staff who work so hard and conscientiously to make sure this community is well served.

My wish is we all could take time to find something to be thankful for this year. What better time to do it?

Please note the library is closed on Thursday and Friday to celebrate Thanksgiving. We will re-open on Saturday with our regular hours. Happy Thanksgiving.
