Residents given first shot at campground reservations

This January, County Parks is offering a "residents only" reservation opportunity for camping anytime in 2006. General public reservations will begin in March. As an incentive to go camping locally, County Parks is encouraging residents to make their prime-time summer camping reservations between January 3 and 27. A $5 discount off one night's campsite fee is also being offered. This offer is available for camping at San Juan, Odlin (Lopez), and Shaw Island County Parks.
All the county campgrounds are located in waterfront parks with spectacular views, beautiful beaches, and small craft boat launches. Plan ahead and reserve the best camp sites now. Proof of residency will be required (verifiable local address and phone number, driver's license, or voter registration).
