September 30

A 39-year-old Arlington man was arrested on two felony warrants out of Skagit County. During a search a small amount of marijuana was located in his vehicle. He's being held on a $150,000 bail.

September 29

A 37-year-old Eastsound man was arrested for driving under the influence after a single vehicle roll over accident.

September 28

A 36-year-old Friday Harbor man turned himself in on a District Court warrant.

An 18-year-old Olga woman was cited for driving too fast for conditions after a traffic accident.

September 27

A 47-year-old Monroe man was issued an infraction for almost striking a whale with his 25-foot white Cabin Cruiser. He was informed of his choices on how to respond.

September 26

A noise complaint regarding loud voices was settled by contact in Eastsound.

September 24

A woman was riding her bike on Davison Head Drive when a large dog ran in front of her. She hit the dog and was thrown from her bike injuring her head and shoulder. The dog owner told the Undersheriff he was looking for his dog when he saw the woman laying on the ground and gave her a ride home. Undersheriff gave the dog owner copy of dog ordinance. The woman has been treated at Medical Center twice.

Someone wrote disturbing messages on an 18-year-old Eastsound man's vehicle. The vehicle was photographed. There are no known suspects at this time.

A 26-year-old Deer Harbor man stopped for failing to stop for a stop sign was arrested for driving under the influence.

September 21

A Decatur Island woman reported a burned out Volkswagen van was partially blocking an intersection.

A 32-year-old Eastsound woman reported her dog's upper left rear leg bone was shattered. The dog is allowed to roam. She did not know how it happened.

A 33-year-old Friday Harbor man was arrested for third-degree malicious mischief after deputies responded to a call of an intoxicated man yelling and punching holes in his mother's house.

September 18

A 21-year-old Eastsound woman was arrested for driving under the influence after a car crash on Crow Valley Road.

September 17

A 42-year-old Eastsound man found his vehicle's front door open and his windshield smashed when he went outside in the morning.

Several mailboxes were damaged in Olga.

September 15

Phonebooks have been set on fire and left in roadways in Friday Harbor twice this month causing fire danger, traffic and unnecessary work for volunteer firefighters. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's office at 378.4151.

A 65-year-old Stanford, California woman reported theft of cash, travelers checks, passport and a travel visa from her summer residence on San Juan Island.

September 14

A 45-year-old Olympia man left his Toyota van in neutral and didn't set the brake as he arrived at Doe Bay Resort for a birthday weekend celebration. His van rolled down a grass embankment and hit a cabin.

Someone forged six payroll checks from a San Juan Island business account.

September 12

A 23-year-old Eastsound woman's Honda Accord was damaged when it was parked in an employee parking lot.

A small packet of meth was found on North First Street in Friday Harbor.

A 63-year-old Friday Harbor man named William Wingard was arrested on a federal warrant under the name of Nathan R. Waters for allegedly making false statements in an application for a passport. He was turned over to an agent from the U.S. State Dept.

September 11

A 50-year-old Lopez Island woman reported a dog belonging to a 45-year-old Lopez Island woman jumped out while she was walking.

A 48-year-old Friday Harbor man was arrested for shoplifting in Eastsound.

27-year-old Friday Harbor woman said someone removed the lock from her storage unit. Nothing was missing. When she returned later, a stereo was missing.

A 37-year-old Oak Harbor man was arrested for threatening to assault a bartender and trespassing at a bar in Friday Harbor.

A 32-year-old man filed a noise complaint after a 33-year-old man turned up the volume on the music, beat on pots and pans and rang a bell loudly when the younger man returned home from work. The deputy responding to the call, took the bell into evidence.

September 10

A deputy responded to a barking dog problem. He had been there numerous times since the dogs bark incessantly when left on the porch while the owner is away. The deputy prepared a second noise violation notice and has attempted to issue the notice. The owner was not at home.

A 48-year-old Lopez Island woman was arrested for driving under the influence after a non-injury accident at the county shops on Fisherman Bay Road.

September 9

A 33-year-old Friday Harbor man was arrested on multiple local and out of county warrants.

A 26-year-old Friday Harbor man was observed violating probation when he entered a bar.

September 8

An-18-year-old Lopez woman said a 20-year-old Lopez male co-worker threatened her with a knife during an argument about food preparation.

A 32-year-old Eastsound man was arrested for assault after he reportedly knoeked down a 22-year-old Eastsound woman. They had just gotten back together but had an argument about his involvement with a former girlfriend. The 22-year-old sustained scratches and bruises.

A 21-year-old Friday Harbor man was arrested for driving under the influence after a traffic accident in which the car traveled 700 feet in a ditch along Cattle Point Road, crossed the road, went airborne, ended up 10 feet from a house and left parts strewn along Cattle Point Road.

September 7

Someone activated a fire alarm at an Eastsound lodging facility.

September 6

A 22-year-old woman was arrested for second-degree driving while license suspended or revoked.

A 15-year-old Friday Harbor High School student was arrested for possession of marijuana at Friday Harbor High School.

A 31-year-old Friday Harbor man was arrested for reckless endangerment, aiming and discharging firearms, dangersous weapons, after he shot his pellet gun at a trailer at Town and Country Trailer Park.

September 4

A 17-year-old Eastsound girl heard a loud noise outside her bedroom window. She looked out and saw a white t-shirt moving away. She had a feeling she was being watched when she went to bed. Her 50-year-old mother also heard the noise. Both said a white middle-aged man was paying "eerie" attention to the young woman when they went to have coffee the day before. Deputies discovered the vegetation under the window was bent in the direction that coincides with the girl's description of what happened.

A small explosion damaged a mailbox on Mud Bay Road.

Someone blew the seat off a toilet at Watmough Bay.

September 2

A 1993 Jeep Wrangler was damaged while parked next to Lopez Fire Station at MacKaye Harbor.

September 1

An Ipod found on Lopez Village was taken to the sheriff's office.

A 59-year-old Eastsound woman was arrested for fourth-degree assault after she allegedly assaulted her 47-year-old boyfriend.

A 27-year-old Bellevue man stopped for failing to signal a turn, was arrested for not having a valid operating license and because of an outstanding warrant.
