The San Juan Lions and San Juan Sailing & Yacht Club 46th Annual Lighted Boat Parade cruised through Friday Harbor Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006 delighting young and old. The flotilla included the Santa Ship which docked at Spring Street landing where the jolly old elf disembarked.

He made his way through the crowd to a waiting fire engine for a ride to the Island Convalescent Center to greet residents and lift their holiday spirits. Then it was on to the Friday Harbor Middle School to visit with island children and hand out bags of Christmas gifts donated by the island service groups.
