Phil Mayer's train set kept youngsters entertained. Ida Carlshagen, age 5, took in all the details including ice skaters, a hobo camp, Friday Harbor train station and a signalman that popped out of a building as the train passed by.
Santa Claus had his hands full with happy and not-so-happy children. Ida Carlshagen, age 4 1/2, gave the jolly old elf a big hug.
Outdoors the Island Chordsmen stayed warm singing carols around the campfire.
