Fourth of July Activities in Sunken Park in Friday Harbor

Sons of the American Legion's float oversaw the post-parade activities at Sunken Park in Friday Harbor. The winners of the parade were announced, the Lions sold hotdogs, the community band and Sundog performed. The prize winners were:

  • Best Float: Sons of American Legion

  • Best Costume: National Park Service

  • Best Theme: Islanders Bank

  • Judges Choice: Kelley Balcomb-Bartok

  • Best Music: Community Band

  • Best Drill Team: Friday Harbor Lady Street Walkers

  • Best Animals: Animal Protection Society

  • Best Kids: Sister Train Express

  • Spirit Award: Dorothy's Adult Home

Grand Marshal Tony Surina enjoyed the activities.
