A record number of scholarships were awarded - $315,000. John Marsh received a full-ride four-year scholarship from a private donor. Kathryn Troxell received a four-year scholarship to a state university. A full list of scholarships and recipients will be posted later this week. Valedictorian Siri Thorson and ASB President Bridget Hudson performed a dialog rather than the traditional speech. Callie Bolstad, Julie Geiser and Gretchen Staehlin sang "I am a Small Part of the World" Jenny Bedford, chosen by the students as guest speaker, shared the secret of turning wishes into reality with her presentation of "Living Your Potential." Friday Harbor Activities Director Cal Johnson, who has taken a position in Spokane, was awarded all of the Friday Harbor High School honors as thanks for his work the past eight years.
