A three-way tie in the jellybean counting contest ended with a count-off won by Emily of Friday Harbor at the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Roche Harbor Resort Sunday, March 23, 2008. The crowd was smaller than usual, attributable most likely due to the early date of Easter. Debbie Sandwith, who announced the event, said it wouldn't be this early again until sometime in the 2200s.

The children, divided into three age groups, hunted for the gold and silver eggs. Parents and grandparents coaxed winning smiles out of their subjects dressed in wide variety of fashionable attire.

Nothing can beat that moment when you win the jellybean counting contest, just ask Emily.

The children who found the silver and the gold eggs (one in each age group) won a prize.

Grace found a silver egg.

Destiny found the golden egg at the upper half of the Yellow Brick Road.

Troy guarded the prizes.

Presley Clark, age 5½, found a golden egg hidden in a fern in the Rose Garden.

McKenna and Presley.

Guthrie took home a prize for finding a silver egg.
