The 8th Annual Oktoberfest 2002 raised funds for San Juan Lions, Friday Harbor Kiwanis, Medical Center Guild and the San Juan Firefighters Association and was a memorial to Bill VanAlen. VanAlen and Bob and Barbara Dann started the local Oktoberfest.

Some dancers really enjoy the chicken dance.

Dave Pratt was the master of ceremonies and accordian player.

Harrison Jerome, age 2, enjoyed his first Oktoberfest.
