Seattle man speeds to marathon victory

Ross Lockwood of San Juan Island ran along Cattle Point Road on the way to the finish line at San Juan County Fairgrounds.

San Juan County Prosecutor Randy Gaylord ran the full marathon.

Barbara Craig of Bellingham, Lynn Williams and C. Josephine Bramwell of Seattle crossed the finish line together.

Fred Henley and Joan Lombaro-Henley of San Juan Island walked together.

Ashley Howard and Mary Sliger made it a mother-daughter event.

Teachers Beth Hetrick and Lisa Salisbury cruised across the finish line.

Volunteers handed out water.

Cathy Tochluk, Susan Corenman and Carol Capps were the final hal-marathoners.
