After the adults finished up the 7th Annual Jon Pettingill triathlon and relay race, it was time for children ages seven to 14 to compete.

The Splash, Pedal and Dash consisted of a 50-yard swim, a one-mile bike ride and a quarter-mile run, all at Lakedale Resort.

The youngest participants were two seven-year old girls. The oldest participant was a 13-year-old girl. One eight-year-old girl participated. Five nine-year-old girls competed. Three ten-year-old girls and two ten-year-old boys competed.
