The second annual Zucchini 500 inspired islanders and visitors. Entrants in the unlimited category (anything goes as long as a DNA test would show zucchini was involved) included bowling balls with zucchini stuffed in the finger holes, Elvis records with zucchini slices and a plastic orange with a zucchini rind attached with clear tape.

The stock category featured whole zucchinis with wheels attached.
