District #2 EMS Report for December 2002

Activity level in December reduced substantially from recent months and was lower than normal for December. During December there were 16 calls of which 9 were medical and 4 trauma. The number of calls in which no patient was transported was 7 with one public assist. Of the total number of patients seen, 5 were transported off the island by air.

Total EMS call for 2002 were337 which was very close to our previous three year average of 340.33. The breakdown of these calls were 96 trauma and 193 medical. There were 109 calls with no patient transport and 58 calls with the patient airlifted off the island. We also had 20 Public Assist calls and 24 fire standbys. The balance of the calls (126) were transports that terminated at the Medical Center.
