MINUTES OF SPECIAL COMMISSIONERS MEETING
November 15, 2003
The November 15, 2003 Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the San Juan County FPD #2 was called to order by Chairman John Erly at 12:04 P.M. at the Eastsound Firehall. The Special meeting was also attended by Commissioner Phalan, Commissioner Olsan, Chief Gary Bennett, EMS Division Chief Garth Eimers, and Commissioner Elect Clyde Duke. The meeting was a training and orientation session for Commissioners and senior staff. It was also attended by Frank Chmelik of the law firm of Chmelik, Sitkin and Davis. Proper notice was posted and given.
General Issues:
Discussion was held on management and responsibilities of the Board. There was discussion of proper meeting techniques and decision making processes.
No decisions were made. Commissioner Erly was excused to at 1:46P.M. in order to attend a previously scheduled meeting.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 3:20 P.M. by acting Chairman Phalan.
