Designs for Holiday cards needed

Island artists are invited to propose one or more designs for Friends of the San Juan Island Library's annual holiday card sale. These unique cards are always appealing to island residents. Artists here often like to make this contribution to our community because the proceeds from the sale of the holiday cards is used exclusively for the benefit of our library programs and acquisitions.

Designs may be one color or full color on any appropriate non-religious holiday subject. Priority might be given to striking, quality art that conveys something about life on the islands, or an island scene. Artists whose designs are selected will receive recognition for their contribution on the cards, through promotional material, and in media releases.

Friends will also be accepting submissions from Middle School age students to select one new card from that age group as well.

Send design proposals by September l, 2003 or sooner in an envelope marked "Holiday Card" to:
