The Friday Harbor High School freshmen-sophomore team won the San Juan Public Schools Foundation's 2005 Knowledge Bowl on the final question. The members are Steffan Iverson, Theo Pratt, Kati Schmidt and Kate Fyrqvist. They successfully answered the question: "Which of the following numbers is not a prime number -- 31, 97, 71, 111?" The annual event is a fundraiser for San Juan Public Schools Foundation. The organization includes parents, educators, and business leaders who work to raise funds outside the school budget to support and encourage innovation in and improvement of the public schools' instructional programs and the achievement of academic excellence by all students. | ||
