Under Homework Help, click on EBSCOhost Research Databases two times, then MasterFile Premier, and enter your search. Ta da! You have an article titled The Coming of Intelligent Green Vehicles in the January/February 2013 edition of Futurist magazine.
Need to print, download or email the article? No problem. It even comes with a handy citation for your bibliography.
Curious about the huge meteorite that hit Russia in February? Use the eLibrary database to search newspapers, magazines, books, maps, websites, pictures, video/audio, and transcripts all in one search.
You want to read an older book for your next book report, but the library doesn’t own it and it’s out of print? Submit an online Interlibrary Loan request through OCLC First Search. We’ll see your request and do our best to get the book here quickly.
Now, I know you use the Internet a lot. You use search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, Bing, etc., and you’re good at it. Just remember that on the Internet, you don’t always know if you’re getting accurate information or not.
By using the library’s electronic resources, you’re consulting sources designed specifically for student research. They are authoritative, kept up-to-date, and citable. And those are things your teachers appreciate. We hope you will, too.
