Orion and Chelsea Powell are excited to announce the birth of their beautiful baby boy Onyx Orion Powell, weighing in at 8lbs. 6oz. and was 21 inches long.

He was welcomed by grandparents Art and Alison Lohrey, Eric and Po Powell & Frank and Christine Beckert all located in Friday Harbor.

Emily and Ian Thomsen happily announce the birth of their daughter Elsie Joyce Thomsen on January 24, 2013 in Missoula, Montana. Elsie weighed 8 lbs. and was 21 inches long.

Elsie’s ecstatic uncle is Elliot Robinson Thomsen. Marty Robinson of San Juan Island, Tim Thomsen of Friday Harbor and Dana and Greg Howell of Ketchum, Idaho are Elsie’s delighted grandparents.

Elsie’s great grandparents are Kathryn Elsie Robinson, Jane Langhorne, Audrey Thomsen and Bud Thomsen.

Brian Prescott and Terese Smith are happy to announce the birth of their son, Frederick Seale Prescott.

He was born on January 27, 2013 and weighed 8lbs 1.8oz. He joins a very proud big brother and big sister, Dexter and Margaret.

Jude (Judah) Thomas King was born Christmas Eve 12/24/12 to Greg and Natalie King. He came into the world surrounded by the love and support of friends and family. His grandparents are Rick and Karen King of Friday Harbor, and Tom and Linda McMahon of Friday Harbor.

Sunday November 4, 2012, Scott Benedict's daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Chris Latham, had a baby boy, Myles Griffin Latham. He weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces and is welcomed to the world by four grandmothers and one star-struck Grandpa.

The biological grandmothers are Theresa Hill of San Juan Island and Beverly Latham, who lives in Sumas, Washington with her husband Anthony Tholl. Myles and his mom and dad are currently living in Bellingham.

Carter, Jennifer, Kayla and Kai are excited to announce the birth of Saylor Virginia Whalen. Born April 21, 2012 weighing 7 lbs 13 ounces.

Chris and Elizabeth Schubert are proud to announce the births of their identical twin girls, Caelyn Marie and Sara Lorraine Schubert. The girls were born January 16th, 2012, six weeks premature at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, Washington.

Caelyn weighed 3 pounds 15 ounces and was 16.5 inches long; Sara weighed 4 pounds 4 ounces and was 16 inches long.

After a helicopter flight off the island, an emergency c-section, three weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit at Swedish, and two additional weeks in the infant special care unit at St. Joseph's Childbirth Center in Bellingham, they are finally home for good in Friday Harbor, where they were welcomed by big sister Felicity, grandparents Snooky and Lyle Tarte and Jan and Jim Schubert, among numerous other family and friends.
