Dancing to old-time tunes, decorating the Christmas tree and enjoying the refreshments in front of the roaring fire in the fireplace attracted Park re-enactors and other islanders.

At the end of the Friday Harbor Lighted boat parade San Juan County Sheriff Rob Nou pulled up to Spring Street Landing and Santa Claus disembarked from the sheriff's boat to the delight of an enthusiastic crowd.

Barbara and Hank Snider drove off in their 1954 Jaquar  with the prize for the Best '50s car and the American Legion and Auxiliary won for best Theme in the Friday Harbor 4th of July parade.  The MASH unit float honored the 60th anniversary of  the Korean War. 

Lin Pearson, who organizes the parade with his wife Pam, handed out the parade prizes at the Pig War Picnic Thursday afternoon.
