Dear San Juan Islander Editor, Sharon Kivisto,
I really appreciate your editorial on the culture of fear in our islands. Anonymous postings are cowardly, one doesn’t know if the same angry anonymous person is just reposting to support their own point, and there is no accountability for false and misleading statements.
I have been appalled at the attacks made on hard working, fellow citizens committed to the community based on perceived and unfounded conspiracy notions. It is anonymous postings that create an environment of fear because you don’t even know who is attacking you or how far they will go.
