Mahius and Kristina Concord, certified Google Trusted Photographers, are coming to San Juan Island next week to help put non-profit organizations, local businesses and county parks onto Google Maps.
The two former Friday Harbor High School students will be giving San Juan Island businesses an opportunity to publish the inside of their location to Google Street View; a part of Google Maps that has so far been elusive to San Juan Islands.
The photography service provides a fully interactive Google virtual tour of the business that gets published across Google properties, as well as a full set of still photos that highlight the business.
The Google tour will be published to the business listing, Google maps, and can be found on the front page of Google searches.
The still photos can be anything to highlight the business from product photography to food photography. The tour and photos can then be added to a website or Facebook page.
The program known as "Google Business Photos" is perfect for lodging facilities, restaurants, boutiques, and much more.
The Concords are also partnered with Expedia to put 360-degree panoramas on hotels' business listings. Those interested in seeing examples can visit www.EvolvingPhotography.com.
