This election is set for us to lose control of our County Government to political parties, a direct slap in the face of our Home Rule Charter.
We need to remember that this is supposed to be a non-partisan election for a non-partisan position on the County Council. Without a Voter’s Pamphlet published and mailed out, it is hard for voters to make an informed decision. The Democrat Party has made it their mission to "inform" their members who to vote for, sending out an email stating, "The ballots are out and we want our candidates names checked!" and conducting a blast phone bank the week of February 2-9.
According to their email, Lovel Pratt and Lisa Byers "requested their help".
Editor's Note: Bob Jarman is a current county Council member. He defeated Lovel Pratt in the November 6 general election. They now are both running for the District 1 county Council position.
