An angler waits while a fish scale is taken from his entry in the 2013 Roche Harbor Salmon Classic. State Fish and Wildlife scientists use data from the scales to gather a variety of information including which hatchery the salmon came from. Participation is voluntary.

This year's photo of the Day series will be a bit different from last year's. The same rules - must be taken this year and in the county - apply with one exception.
