NOAA Fisheries and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife will host a one day workshop from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, March 28 at Roche Harbor Pavilion to review the current vessel guidelines and regulations in place to protect killer whales in Washington.
The agenda will include presentations and discussions of vessel monitoring, education &outreach, enforcement, economics, evaluation of the existing protections and potential next steps.
