Friday Harbor's Gabe Lawson swatted a two-run homer in the fifth inning, breaking a 2-2 tie with Blaine in a district tourney opener Wednesday, May 1 at Hartman Field. The Wolverines added six more runs while blanking the Borderites in the 8-2 victory. Friday Harbor plays Mt. Baker in a district semifinal at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 2 at Pipeline Fields in Blaine.
