Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar, Senator Maria Cantwell and Rep. Rick Larsen, (pictured left to right) plus Rep. DelBene, San Juan County Council members Bob Jarman, Rick Hughes and Jamie Stephens celebrated the National Monument designation for the 1,000 acres of Bureau of Land Managment land in the San Juan Islands National Monument Monday, April 1.

Larsen continued on to Lopez Island for the second celebration which began with a visit to Iceberg Point. He kayaked over along with half the groups. The others hiked in two miles from Agate Park.
