July 12

A 44-year-old Olga woman talked with deputy about harassment from a 43-year-old Eastsound man. She is concerned about her well being.

July 11

A 63-year-old Lopez Island woman found a parcel belonging to a 48-year-old Lopez Island man on the road.

A 65-year-old Eastsound woman called 9-1-1 when she heard water running in her kitchen sink when she returned to her home on Scenic Lane. She called 9-1-1. Deputies searched her home and discovered someone had entered the house through a 1-ft by 8” bathroom window. The burglar was not in the house when deputies arrived. A tv, printer, expensive totes, clothes, printer paper were taken. No viable fingerprints were on the scene.

A 45-year-old Deer Harbor woman’s flower stand located at Darvil and Enchanted Forest road was blown up by high powered fireworks. A few people heard a loud noise during the night but didn’t report it.

A 27-year-old Eastsound man contacted about a traffic violation was arrested for two outstanding warrants.

A 28-year-old Cashmere woman was suspected of making harassing telephone calls to an 18-year-old Eastsound woman.

A 27-year-old Friday Harbor man was arrested for driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol after he was stopped for failure to signal and not yielding his lane to another vehicle.

July 10

A 48-year-old Lopez Island man was served with criminal trespass papers and told to take his things and get out that day and if he returned he would be arrested.

The Orcas Island Elementary School was ransacked. A safe was broken into $2,284.16 taken.

July 8

A 38-year-old Lopez Island woman was suspected of domestic malicious mischief.

A 51-year-old Eastsound man found the french doors forced open at his home on Orcas Road. Four boxes of women’s clothes, two boxes of rock & roll cassettes, a tripod, a digital camera were taken.

A mailbox, at a 70-year-old San Juan Island woman’s home on University Road was blown up by an explosive device.

July 7

The old gym at Orcas Island High School was broken into. A dell laptop computer, Motorola bus radios, flip phones, starter relays and a master key to the school were taken.

July 6

Two cars were damaged while they were parked at Roche Harbor resort. A group of teenagers seen in the area were suspected but could not be found.

A 23-year-old El Paso woman, driving in Friday Harbor, received citations for driving with no valid operator’s license, failure to use child restraints, speeding 55 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone, and failure to provide proof of insurance.

July 5

A 31-year-old San Juan Island woman discovered her truck was hit while parked at Roche Harbor resort.

A January incident was reported to deputies. A 60 -year-old Friday Harbor man backhanded and made threatening gestures to a -year-old Friday Harbor m while the younger man was sitting in a parked car. He believes the victim cost him a job.

A mentally ill, delusional paranoid 50-year-old Shaw Island man told someone at a convent people were after him. He wandered in a field with a shotgun looking for the six people who didn’t exist. Three deputies responded to deal with the situation. A mental health expert was contacted and spoke to a 50-year-old Shaw Island man. convinced the ill man, who was unarmed when the deputies arrived, to talk to his therapist in the morning. The shotgun was taken into safe keeping.

July 4

A deputy checking the Buck propery on Orcas Island saw four people sitting around a grill. He arrested a 19-year-old Battleground for minor in possession of alcohol charges. A second minor hadn’t consumed alcohol.

A 23-year-old Seattle man and 23-year-old Seattle woman received citations for using fireworks at Bayshore on Lopez Island.

July 3

A 62-year-old Lopez Island resident believes someone who was doing work for him at his Bakerview Road home stole a super pad 3, gen web cam, 10.2 tablet, gps hdmI wifi, UpCPU 1 GPz Google, 520 Mega Bytes, Android , TFT touch in black leather cover.

A 77-year-old Friday Harbor man reported a 64-year-old Friday Harbor woman cut a broad leaf plant that was on his lower deck.

A 76-year-old Lopez Island man reported a dog without a leash or identification was on his Shark Reef Road property.

July 2

Lopez Island firefighters took the keys away from an intoxicated 53-year-old Lopez Island man after found his car in a ditch they had taken his keys.

A 26-year-old Las Vegas man was arrested because of warrants after he was stopped for failure to stop.

A 43-year-old Friday Harbor woman was arrested because of warrants after she was stopped for failure to stop.

July 1

A 41-year-old Friday Harbor man was arrested for domestic violence malicious mischief and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence after he broke a mirror, a family heirloom during a fight with his live-in partner, a 51-year-old Friday Harbor woman. He had outstanding warrants.
