These are the minutes of the Friday Harbor Port Commission regular meeting held at the Port marina office on June 26, 2002.

The meeting was called to order at 4:30 pm.

Port Commissioners attending were Mike Ahrenius and Brian Calvert. Staff attending were Marilyn O'Connor and Ed Barrett.

1. Citizen comments/requests: None

2. Commissioners' reports/comments: None

3. Approve and sign warrants: Brian Calvert moved to pay warrant #C20051 in the amount of $7,254.70 and warrants #G20346 - 20382 in the amount of $25,021.69. Mike Ahrenius seconded and the motion passed unanimously.

Marilyn O'Connor informed the Port Commission that both the Friends of the San Juans and the Marine Resource Committee's Bottom Fish Recovery Program have asked for support in the form of advertisements in their pamphlets. The amounts are $500 and $200 respectively. The Port Commission agreed that this could be accomplished as public promotion.

The Port Commission discussed the July 4th parade. They discussed a theme of "Free to Float and Free to Fly".

Marilyn O'Connor informed the Port Commission that since our marina insurance policy expires soon, the Port Commission should study a forthcoming quote from the Washington Government Entity Pool before July 19, 2002.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:45 pm.
