Bruce M. Wallace

August 30, 1953 - August 25, 2009

Bruce M. Wallace was born in Renton, Washington on August 30, 1953. He passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 in Anacortes. Bruce served in the United States Army for four years and was stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii.

Following the service, Bruce worked for the Boeing Company as a plumber for 18 years. In 2004, after a foot drop that left him paralyzed in his left foot, he took a medical retirement. Bruce moved his family to Anacortes in 2003 to be closer to the San Juan Islands. He had property in Friday Harbor where he and his family, along with friends, spent much of their time.

Bruce enjoyed crabbing, shrimping, fishing, flying, and being with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Tracie Wallace; sons and daughter-in-law, Branden and Ashlie Wallace and Aaron Wallace; daughter, Linnea Wallace and her husband, Lyndol Cromartie; grandson, Owen Wallace; sister, Barbara Magelki, and his brother, Scott Wallace.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2009 at the Christ Lutheran Church, 2501 SW 320th Street, in Federal Way, WA, 98023
