Obituary: William 'Bill' Lyons

William Porter “Bill” Lyons was born December 31st, 1958 and passed away suddenly on March 11th, 2008. A native of the Pacific Northwest, Bill graduated from Western Washington State College with a degree in art history. He moved to San Juan Island shortly after graduating and became a carpenter.

Bill’s passions included the art he loved to create, hiking in the Cascades, fishing, gardening and his dogs.

Bill is lovingly remembered by his wife, Rhonda Wilson Lyons. He is missed by his mother, Ruthe Ramirez, his brother Kim Lyons of Olympia, Washington, his sisters Shelle Cropper, Becky Kilpatrick, Katie Dillery and by his many nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of Bill’s life following a mass at St Francis Catholic Church on Saturday March 29th at 10 a.m.
