"Most of the returning people picked up where they where at the end of last season," said Friday Harbor coach Greg Hertel. State champion Nathan Smith won the high jump and long jump. The boys 4 x 100 relay "won handily" and Lucas Franco lapped every competitor en route to a 1600-meter victory. Catherine Grosjacques won the high jump. Senior Katherine Troxel, in her first high school meet, won the 3200 run. Junior Jessye Terry also won in her first prep outing, finishing first in the 100 dash. |
