Friday Harbor edged Sedro-Woolley’s junior varsity squad 3-2 April 24, 2004.

Katie Bolstad and Heather Jones trimmed the Sedro-Woolley’s No. 1 doubles team 9-7. Friday Harbor’s Haley Bolstad won 8-4 in No. 2 singles action and Alora Anderson shut out the Cubs’ No. 3 singles player 8-0.

Coupeville trimmed Friday Harbor 3-2 in girls tennis action April 23.

Friday Harbor’s Haley Bolstad beat Cassie Williams 6-0, 6-1 in No. 3 singles action. Mari Pemberton and Leilani Salsbury defeated Coupeville’s Tiffany Folkstad and Heather Fakkema 6-4, 6-1 in No. 2 doubles play.

Friday Harbor’s top singles players beat their Blaine foes at a three-way invite April 17 but fell to tourney winner Lakewood.

The Wolverines tied with host Blaine.

SINGLES - Brynn Woldvedt (Friday Harbor) defeated Blaine’s Rachelle Jackson (Blaine) 6-2, 6-3. Amanda Pope (FH) d. Andrea Klemmt (B) 7-5, 6-2. Charlee Haugen (Lakewood) 6-1, 6-0. Keira Vizcaya d. 6-3, 6-0.

Friday Harbor topped the Stanwood junior varsity 5-0 April 10.

Brynn Woldvedt shut out her opponent 8-0 in No. 1 singles play. Amanda Pope won 8-1 in No. 2 action and Alora Anderson.

In doubles action, Hayley Bolstad-Mari Pemberton won 8-3 and Leilani Salsbury-Alora Anderson won 8-0.

FH doubles teams shine against Lynden

Friday Harbor’s doubles teams and their No. 2 singles player won as the Wolverines defeated Lynden 4-1 April 8.

In No. 1 doubles play, Friday Harbor’s Mari Pemberton and Hayley Bolstad beat the Lions’ Anastasia Plotnikova and Alisha Tomke 8-6. Ayanna Mancuso and Leilani Salsbury beat Julie Opperly and Prim Honoladoram 8-3 in No. 2 action. Kim Wells and Katie Buganski also won 8-3.

Friday Harbor’s Heather Jones upended Sarah Ryan 8-3 in No. 2 action.

Lynden’s Holly Robbins edged Brynn Woldvedt 8-5 in No. 1 singles play.
