Wolverines and Loggers tie on court

Heather Jones and Ayanna Mancuso are the key to a victory over Darrington. Friday Harbor's No. 2 doubles team led their Logger opponents 6-4, 4-1 on April 1 when play was called.

Friday Harbor and Darrington are tied 2-2 and the No. 2 match will be completed April 29.

The Wolverines' No. 1 doubles team of Hayley Bolstad and Mari Pemberton overcame Reiley Wicken and Taylor Nations 6-0, 7-6 (7-4). Friday Harbor's Leilani Salsbury topped Catie Terry 6-0, 6-1 in No. 3 singles action.

Darrington's Shauna Kuper trimmed Brynn Woldvedt 7-5, 2-6 (7-5) in No. 1 singles play and Tessa Harris edged Amanda Pope 7-5, 3-6 (7-5) in No. 2 action.

FH tennis team edges South Whidbey JV

Friday Harbor's girls tennis team won their first home match of the season, trimming South Whidbey 3-2 Friday, March 30, 2004.

The Wolverines' top doubles teams dominated their foes.

In No. 1 action, Mari Pemberton and Hayley Bolstad beat the Falcons' Katie James and Christina Adrisson 6-0, 6-2. Ayanna Mancuso and Heather Jones blanked Aliesha Hellinger and Kelsey Lindus in the No. 2 match.

Brynn Woldvedt won in No. 1 singles play, beating South Whidbey's Ariel Schmidke 6-4, 6-1.

The Falcons' Melissa Mydynski defeated Leilani Salsbury 6-1, 6-3 in No. 2 action and Morgana Lawlor held off Friday Harbor's Katie Buganski 6-4, 6-3.
