Bacon, Woodruff bash homers in win

Friday Harbor's Trefor Bacon smashed a two-run home run and Jesse Woodruff ripped a solo homer in the Wolverines 8-2 win at Concrete Friday, April 8.

"The kids came out fired up, focused and played their game, " said Friday Harbor coach Rich Warin.

Woodruff also ripped a double and single in the Northwest A/B League contest. He finished with 2 RBI.

Cole Franklin doubled, singled and hit a sacrifice fly. Tim Cumming doubled in a run.

Peter Shanks went the distance of the Wolverines, giving up four hits. "He pitched a great game, " Warin said.

Friday Harbor improves to 3-0 in league and 5-1 overall.

Eric Rothlisberger hit 4-for-4 and Jesse Woodruff rapped three base singles in Friday Harbor's 7-3 home victory over La Conner Saturday, April 2. Junior pitcher Chas Lawson came off the bench to shut down the Braves in the Northwest A League contest.
