"It was a good team effort," said Winslow Cobos. The senior running back scored on a 54-yard run during the Wolverines homecoming victory. "That was nice," he said. "Our line played hard," said senior lineman Joey Burns. "We did a good job opening up some holes for the running backs." "It was a good way to end our 1A games," Burns added. "We did a good job staying focused," said senior running back Tyler Roberts. "We could’ve easily been distracted by the homecoming activities." Friday Harbor compiled nearly 400 yards of offense. Cobos tallied 105 yards on 11 carries. "He was running with the wind," Roberts said. Roberts compiled 104 yards on 12 attempts and had two touchdowns and a 2-point conversion. The Wolverines completed six passes for 116 yards and three touchdowns. Senior linebacker David Ahrenius had a team-high 17 tackles, including 1 sack. Daniel Olshefsky, also a senior linebacker, made 7 tackles. Jason Grone and Hart each forced fumbles. |

The Wolverines scored their first touchdown on a 43-yard touchdown pass from Lawson to Chad Stoddard with 7:41 left in the first quarter. Cedar Park shanked a punt on their second possession. Cobos rambled for a long run before Roberts scored on a 20-yard touchdown sprint at 5:18 in the first.
Three minutes later, August McKenna’s fumble recovery set up the Wolverines third score -- a12-yard pass from Franklin to Hart. The Wolverines led 18-0. A Friday Harbor fumble set up Cedar Park’s first touchdown at 11:53 in the second quarter. The Wolverines thwarted a two-point conversion attempt. Lawson plunged into the end zone from a yard out with 5:09 to go in the first half. Lawson took the ball in for the two-point conversion and the Wolverines led 26-6. Hart snagged an Eagle pass and returned it 25 yards, and Cobos scurried 54 yards for the Wolverines fifth touchdown. Roberts rushed for two points and the Wolverines increased their lead to 34-6 with 3:56 remaining in the second quarter.
Stoddard hauled in a 37-yard touchdown toss and Dwight Ware kicked the PAT and the Wolverines led 41-6. Lawson’s 41-yard pass to Hart set up Friday Harbor’s next touchdown -- a 6-yard dash to the corner by Roberts. Loch Stimpson was the sixth and final Wolverine to score a touchdown when he rushed 15 yards into the end zone with 11:45 to go in the game. With no time on the clock, the Cedar Park quarterback hit a receiver in the back of the end zone for the Eagles second touchdown. Friday Harbor travels to Darrington Friday, Oct. 29.
