Friday Habor girls scare Coupeville

Friday Harbor girls basketball team rattled Northwest A/B League leader Coupeville into the final period Tuesday, Jan. 11 but the visiting Wolves held on for a 38-34 victory.

The Wolves led the Wolverines 16-15 at the half and went up 30-24 at the end of the third quarter. Friday Harbor

Madison Judkins led the Wolverines with 16 points. Annie Bryant and Natalie Chevalier each scored 4. Alysa Kelsey chipped in 3. Megan Vynne and Beth Kelsey pumped in 2 apiece. Lauren Peterson had 1.

Friday Harbor drops to 1-4 in league action and 4-7 for the season. Coupeville improves to 6-0 in conference and 7-4 overall.
