Friday Harbor lost a hard fought game to La Conner 3-2 in overtime. The Braves are undefeated in league play this season. Each time the teams have met it has been a close battle. In this match Friday Harbor got on the board first with a goal by Sammy Michael who was assisted by Elena Porten.

Lillan Roquet was the MVP of the match for Friday Harbor as she routinely shut down La Conner's Freshman standout Anna Raymond. Roquet played an inspired match, confidently defending and setting up attacks for the Wolverines. Raymond still managed to find some free space and scored the equalizer at the 57th minute.

Friday Harbor's second goal game with just five minutes left in the game. Roquet was fouled 40 yards out, set up the free kick, and struck a beautiful ball which La Conner's keeper was unable to control putting the Wolverines up 2-1.

La Conner was not ready for a defeat yet as they rallied towards Friday Harbor's goal and capitalized on a misplaced clear by the Wolverine defense, evening the score with just two minutes left in the match. Neither team was able to net another goal during regular time and went into overtime with incredible intensity. Both teams attacked each other's goals with fervor, but in the end La Conner managed to break free and get a goal with two minutes remaining in the second overtime.

Friday Harbor had several more attempts including a beautiful corner, but in the end La Conner came away with the victory. Zoie Guidotti had an outstanding match for the Lady Wolverines at midfield. Her composure and technical skills grow with each match.
