Beth Kelsey pitched four perfect innings as Friday Harbor clobbered La Conner 11-0 in Northwest A League softball action Saturday, April 2. Lauren Brem went 3-for-3 -- two doubles and single -- and Shay Hopkins cracked a triple for the Wolverines in the 10-run rule game.

Beth Kelsey earned her second win in a row as Friday Harbor's softball team trimmed Orcas 6-3 Wednesday, March 30.

Friday Harbor softball team tops Sultan

Friday Harbor’s softball team opened the season with drama -- a successful suicide squeeze in a 4-2 non-league home victory over Sultan Wednesday, March 23, 2005.

The Wolverines led 3-2 with junior Natalie Chevalier was on third base and freshman Kiersten Radden-Wold at the plate. Radden-Wold placed the bunt between the mound and home plate.

"She did it perfectly," said Friday Harbor coach Kevin Carlton.

Alysa Kelsey smacked a ball over the head of the Turks’ leftfielder. The bases-clearing double put the Wolverines up 3-2.

Beth Kelsey earned the win for Friday Harbor. "After the third inning, Beth was hitting her spot," Carlton said. "Natalie (the catcher) is good at moving that ball around."
