Friday Harbor boys conquer Shoreline Christian

posted 01/24/05
Bouncing back from an overtime setback the night before to Darrington, Friday Harbor boys basketball team crushed Shoreline Christian 74-60 Saturday, Jan. 22.

Friday Harbor keeps its hopes for Northwest A/B League championship alive. The Wolverines are 8-2 and in second place, two games behind 9-0 La Conner. Friday Harbor plays four more league games, including at La Conner Friday, Jan. 28 and finishes the season at home against the Braves Feb. 11.

The Wolverines dominated the boards, moved the ball around adeptly and used balanced scoring.

Friday Harbor led most of the game and remained patient in the fourth quarter. ”They learned from Friday night and used it today,” Turnbull said.

Chad Stoddard led the Wolverines with 20 points. Tyler Hart and Tyler Roberts each contributed 15. John Hamilton chipped in 13 and Eric Rothlisberger 10. Dylan Gerharstein had 1.

Friday Harbor is 13-2 overall. Shoreline Christian is 5-6 in league and 7-8 for the season.
