Wolverine boys boot Braves 4-2

Friday Harbor boys soccer team remained undefeated by doubling up La Conner 4-2 Thursday, Sept. 22. The Wolverines are 3-0-1 after the Northwest A/B League victory.

The Wolverines went up 4-0 in the first half and held off the Braves in the second period.

"That's called winning ugly," said Friday Harbor coach Ron Duke. "We had hoped we'd be crisper than we were, but we can fix it."

Felipe Lopez scored from 15 yards out 15 minutes into the match. Erik Nash knocked in Louis Paul's throw from the right corner with about 16 minutes to go in the half. Lopez scored again seven minutes before halftime and Paul also added a goal.

Friday Harbor improves to 2-0 in Northwest A/B League action.


Nunez scores hat trick in Friday Harbor win

Mario Nunez booted a hat trick as the Friday Harbor boys soccer team edged Bellevue Christian 3-2 in a non-league road match Saturday, Sept. 17.
