Zillah beats Friday Harbor 3-2 in extra innings

Zillah sent Friday Harbor into the consolation bracket of the WIAA/Dairy Farmers of Washington Class 1A Softball Championship by edging out the Wolverines in the ninth inning of the quarterfinal game Friday night. Zillah won 3-2 after the two teams were tied 1-1 at the end of the seventh inning. The Wolverines play Fremont at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Matt was at both of Friday Harbor's games today and the Vikings first game. Stories and photos will be posted before he heads out to Saturday's game.

Friday Harbor and Zillah are tied 1-1 in the top of the 9th inning.

Wolverines into extra innings

The Wolverines will have the top of their batting order coming up to bat as their game against Zillah goes into extra innings tied 1-1.

Friday Harbor High School girls softball team is leading Zillah 1-0 in the bottom of the third inning in the second round of WIAA/Dairy Farmers of Washington Class 1A Softball Championship in Moses Lake. Zillah beat Bellevue Christian 9-1 in the first round. The Wolverines beat Liberty Bell 5-2.

Friday Harbor High School fast pitch softball team beat Liberty Bell 5-2 in the first round at the state tournament and will play the winner of the Bellevue Christian/Zillah game at 6 p.m. tonight. TOURNAMENT BRACKET
